Im shocked to read so many stories! I started off looking for a parrot egg to incubate and after some searching realised this was not going happen! Im pretty sure that EVERY advert advertising eggs for sale is a scam!! Why are these adverts still being published??!! What I find more shocking is that this is seemingly happening with all animals, we breed dogs and sports horses and scammers seem to be taking over!! So, please also be aware that the same rules apply, which luckily i was aware of, to all animals!
And... if it is possible to get an egg to incubate then please could someone let me know!

hi . i have been doing animal management for 3 years now and i work with african greys and other varies birds, the plucking of feathers is due to stress, due to not being comfortable in they new surrounding or getting used to their new surroundings, the bird will be fine its just acting out, however this may turn into steriotypical behaviour (repeating the same behaviour) and will not be able to be treated.... and for the african grey whos owner had died and its behaviour is changing this is due to stress aswel, parrots are very intelligent, a loss of the owner will take a tole on the animal, once it is used to its new owner it will be fine . hope this helps

I agree with Danielle, but would add that the bird should also get some sunshine...I always envision bars as dark...and I feel a bird needs to be able to see outside.
also, how late is the bird staying up? parrots need 8-12 hours of solid sleep...

Greys are very sociable, so this MIGHT be a good thing for Coco, if the pub is non-smoking, and he is not fed any alcohol or junk food.

I'm assuming his cage is placed so that nobody can get close enough to startle him by poking fingers at him or anything. I'm also assuming he will get plenty of time out of the cage for play and exercise, and that his cage is large enough that he can play and exercise while confined.
